St George's Park is the oldest cricket ground in South Africa and one of the oldest in the world, having hosted its first Test match in 1889. The stadium has a capacity of approximately 19,000. The ground is located close to the beachfront in the Summerstrand area, approximately 5–10 km from the city centre. Gqeberha sits at the eastern end of the famous Garden Route — a spectacular coastal drive stretching approximately 300 km west to Mossel Bay. It is one of South Africa's most popular road trips and a natural add-on for World Cup visitors.
