Paarl Travel Guide

One of South Africa's oldest towns, Paarl sits in the heart of the Cape Winelands with over 200 wine estates on its doorstep. Matches at Boland Park combine cricket with mountain scenery and world-class wine country.

Match Venue

Boland Park

Boland Park is a picturesque cricket ground established in 1911, set against the Paarl Mountain backdrop. With a capacity of approximately 10,000, it offers one of the most intimate World Cup atmospheres of any venue. The ground hosted its first ODI in 2002 and is the home of Boland Cricket. Paarl is approximately 60 km from Cape Town International Airport — around 45–60 minutes by car — making it feasible to base yourself in Cape Town and drive to matches, or stay in the Winelands for the full experience.
